Color Pop Electric

June 26, 2018

In case you didn’t know: I. LOVE. COLOR. And not just one, all of them. If you asked me what my favorite one was, I wouldn’t be able to choose. I love it when they complement each other and I love it when they clash. The possibilities excite me beyond explanation. When I stumbled across this dress while perusing eBay, its distinct design had me stunned and I knew I had to have it. The unusually shaped crisp white collar against the funky bright pattern was so unique I felt exhilarated just by looking at it.

I love pieces like this because they are an all in one show stopper. With all the colors and patterns, it’s easy to accessorize. I chose a white vintage beaded purse to add texture while also complementing all the colors in the dress. White can be your best friend when wanting to make colors pop without distracting from them. Red, orange, green, plum and lavender, I had a variety of colors to pick from when it came to pairing earrings but I found myself most drawn to the deep blue or “blurple”. This deep color seemed like the best to contrast with my fair skin and platinum hair.

Oh, and those cherry red Mary Janes you may be wondering about? Those old things? Just kidding, they’re Prada and I might want to be buried in them when I die. I’m not going to act like these were an easy or common purchase for me. They were second hand but like new from eBay and I have no shame when I tell you that they were an early birthday AND Christmas present from my mother. I’m in love with their weird vintage meets modern silhouette and the fact the straps are placed lower down the arch of the shoe makes me look like I have legs for days. And yes, they’re comfortable. So, thank you Mom, eternally!!!!! (And not just for the shoes).

I’ve linked similar finds below. Remember, if a listing has ended look to see if its been relisted or if there are suggested similar items.
